MH Travel created shore tour KOTOR-BUDVA-PERAST as one of the most popular choices for cruise-ship guests who stay in the port in Kotor longer than 5 hours. Taking this tour guests will visit three of the most popular cities on the Montenegrin coast. Kotor and Perast are UNESCO World Heritage, while Budva with its charming old town is the most popular tourist destination. Cruise ships that cannot dock at the port of Kotor need shuttles from the cruise ship and back, which takes additional time, so we created a short version of this tour that visits only Kotor and Budva without Perast. Others who want to visit Kotor and Perast without visiting Budva can take our shore-tour KOTOR-PERAST. Shore tour KOTOR-BUDVA lasts 3 hours while the tour KOTOR-BUDVA-PERAST lasts 5 hours. The departure time depends on the guest's arrival in the port of Kotor and the estimated time for passing the border control. The city of Budva is 25km far away from Kotor and St. Stefan 7km far away from Budva. Perast is located in the Municipality of Kotor 10km far away from the old town of Kotor and its port. The tours are guided in English and they will give guests full experiences of places and their highlights. Welcome:)

WHEN AND WHERE WILL WE START?
The tour starts from the port of Kotor after guests pass border control. Departure time depends on the docking time of the cruise ship. Guests just need to inform us of which cruise ship they will come and the tour will start according to guests' arrival time in the port of Kotor.
WHERE WE WILL GO?
We will go to The Old Town of Budva, and The Old Town of Kotor
BUDVA
After we start from Kotor we will drive 30 minutes to the viewpoint above St.Stefan (Sveti Stefan) where we will make a photo-stop. The panoramic view of St. Stefan is surely one of the most memorable sights along Montenegro’s coast. This miniature island is dotted with stone houses and joined with the mainland by a sandy isthmus which the sea currents have built during the ages. The old village has been transformed is an exclusive tourist resort, with each house serving as a separate luxurious apartment.
A few kilometers drive back to Budva and turn towards the Old Town, where we will start the visit. Guests will have a guided tour of the old town and learn about its impressive history from ancient times to the present day. The old town of Budva was founded 2500 years ago.
It’s the only old town on our coast with a beach just next to the city walls which is why has become a center of tourist interest a few decades ago. In front of the city walls, there is the town square and two beaches to the south and west side.
St John’s Cathedral is the highest building in the old town among numerous traditional stone houses and the Citadel viewpoint. The town has a special atmosphere that is always a little glamorous. Budva is the fastest developing town on the coast, with a special blend of modern and traditional tourism. It is also the center of fun and great nightlife.
KOTOR
After visiting Budva we will go back to Kotor via scenery road where we will make the photo-stop above the Bay of Kotor. The old town of Kotor is located hidden in Kotor Bay like at the end of the blind street surrounded by two mountains Lovcen and Vrmac, which give to it exceptional uniqueness. Everyone who visits Kotor is left breathless due to the beauty and splendid surroundings of this city.
We will go to the old town of Kotor where guests will have a one-hour city tour and get information about the town's rich history and its squares, streets, churches, historical buildings, and gates like as Square of Arms, Bizanti Palace, Beskuca Palace, Pima Palace, St Tryphon Cathedral, Maritime Museum, St Nicholas Church, Blessed Osanna Church, the Sea Gate, and the North Gate. Kotor old town has been on the list of UNESCO World Heritage since 1979 mostly thanks to its impressive city walls.
St. Giovanni is the name of the city walls and fortification, built above the old town of Kotor on the rocky slopes of the Lovcen mountain from the 9th to the 19th of century. To reach the top guests need to climb almost 1500 steps, (45 minutes of intense climbing) which is not easy during the summer heat. Most guests climb up to the small chapel of St. Giovanni where they can take impressively beautiful photos of the Kotor panorama.
NOTE: We can also organize a private Kotor-Budva Tour. If you have any special requests contact us by e-mail at montenegrohostel@gmail.com
